Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American actress, singer. Her most famous role was as one of Mickey Mouse Club's "Mouseketeers". She began singing in her teens and became famous for her hit songs "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess." Annette was a shy child who grew up in Utica and was surrounded by Italian immigrants. She wanted to pursue an entertainment industry and soon took to dancing and acting. In her role as the "Mouseketeer" in 'Disney sketches, Annette rose to great recognition in the 1950s. In her later years, Annette shredded her 'Disney persona and performed in numerous adult roles. Her most famous role is being among the very early actors who introduced the concept of "beach party". Her appearances in movies included as "How to stuff a wild bikini,' 'Pajama Party, as well as 'Beach Party.' In addition, she was able to continue producing music albums.
