Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent in the very first round. She then returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta Combat Championships 16, Aspen won her next bout with Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight but Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. In her last fight for Promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina with her ground and pound tactics which resulted in the TKO 2nd round win. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round, and was awarded an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she had in any major capacity. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and each fighter received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya lost in the 3rd round at UFC 7 on ESPN. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was a unanimous decision.
